Six places in the village, all of them a few minutes from our door. This is the list we give guests when they ask.
In the village
Costambar is small, so none of these is a drive. You walk.

Cooking for yourself
Every one of our places has a full kitchen, and most guests staying more than a few days end up using it. For the everyday things there are colmados in the village — the corner shops that sell bread, eggs, beer, rice, phone credit and whatever else, and that will usually send a boy round with it if you ask.
The big supermarkets are ten minutes away in Puerto Plata, which is the trip to make on the first morning if you are staying a while.
Further afield
Puerto Plata's old town is ten minutes and has more choice, including the restaurants around the Parque Central. Cabarete, forty minutes east, is where to go for an evening out with a view of the kitesurfers.
Ask us
Opening hours in a village this size move around, especially out of season, and a place that is shut on a Tuesday in September will be open on a Tuesday in January. We live here — ask us what is open this week before you walk down.
